Obituary: The Big Sorry

Originally prompted by several guides and teachers, The Big Sorry was an 8-part alchemical and divinatory experiment to publicly display the messiness of Jacob Lewis Cummings while they held embodied grief; to exercise displaying the chunks of a busted heart, however ugly, tangled, beautiful, dissonant, ego-filled, alive and dead - in handwritten form alongside casual photography.

This work allowed Jacob to share the process of actively dying and decomposing, to open life and call in the next phase; This experiment educated Jake about publicly sorting/clearing/honoring a connection to a relationship and an individual whom requested Jake to kindly release.

This Effort is Complete, all of Jake’s 4-season gateways have passed.
